New Year and Etsy.

Hello again everyone.

What a wonderful start to the new year we have had around here. I hope everyones year is starting out wonderfully. Twenty Twelve has such a nice ring to it. :)

I just wanted to pop in and say hello and let everyone know I have scrapbooking kits up for sale in my etsy along with a brand new Valentine's Day garland on SALE and FREE SHIPPING for US customers only and reduced shipping for international customers. My little Penelope is getting so big. She's such a doll and all of us around here love her to bits. :) She's definitely my biggest fastest growing baby. She's already wearing a 12 months and she just turned 6 months yesterday. HaHa She's definitely a chubby baby. Mommy can't get enough of her. I hope that explains my blog absence. ;)

Here's a photo I took of her yesterday.

We pierced her ears at three months and just changed the cz studs a few days ago to pearls. Finally! Originally I wanted pearl studs, but they weren't a piercing option.

Baby Shower Share

Well I'm finally going to share some photos from my baby shower.

Let me just say I found tons of inspiration on the internet and I will do my best to share where I found it. :)

My best friend and my cousin helped me out so much making all the stuff to decorate. We put a lot of work into my shower. Lots of late nights and fun girl time. We really had a blast and in the end it paid off. Everyone had such a good time at the get together and everyone was very impressed at all the work that went into it. I was just happy the day finally came and I actually had time to get ready. *laugh

So when I found out I was having a girl I started planning the shower straight away. Since I'm not real big on themes I just based it aroundcolorsand vintage stuff and birds got thrown in there too, of course. ;)

I tried my hand at invitations and I think they came out pretty cute. :) I filled in personal info with white. :) Used Rhonna brushes from Two Peas In A Bucket.

One day while I was web browsing scrapbooking blogs I came across this color palette at the Pink Paislee Blog.

Gorgeous right? As soon as this caught my eye I knew I wanted to do my shower in these colors and have lots of tissue pom poms. Here are the photos...

I purchased the chinese lanterns at Asian Imports for a really cheap price.Lots of great colors to choose from and all sorts of sizes too. We had homemade lemonade and delicious sweet tea. Served in ball jars with pink striped straws purchased at Hey YoYo. Lots of desserts at the dessert table. Homemade cupcakes, cake, cakepops, sugar cookies, and lots of pink candy. I had found a tutorial on youtube to make the buttercream rose cupcakes, but now I can't find it to share. :( Let me just say it's a lot harder than it looks and your hand will definitely be aching after some forty cupcakes later. HaHaHa But I thought we did a fairly nice job for our first time.

And I HAD to try this ruffle tower cake for my cake. And the inside was Neapolitan. Too bad I didn't get a photo after they cut it, it looked so pretty. BTW the cake was sooooo delicious. Yum. I wish I had a piece right now. HaHa I got inspiration to do the cake bunting from the fabulous Green Vintage Limited on Etsy.

I made lots of banners. One said "Hooray for Little Girls", another said "She Will Be Loved", and I made an alphabet one with the playing cards from My Mind's Eye. I also made doily garlands, paper garlands like the ones in my etsy, I made a bunting based off of inspiration from these gorgeous buntings on etsy, also made a garland just like this beautiful one Linda made. We had lots of beautiful roses and carnations mixed in all sorts of different vintage jars and vases. I had framed some pretty cool pieces from Doll Face Designs on Etsy also had some vintage paintings around as well and I didn't catch a photo, but I purchased 36" balloons from the Balloon Warehouse. I thought the price was fare and I loved them! I will definitely be ordering from them again and again. I was so busy I didn't get very many pictures. Really disappointed about it now. There was so much stuff and detail I should have made time to take better photos. :(

We're Back...

And with our newest addition to our family. Let me tell you she is the perfect fit. We adore her. She is so perfect for us. We could not be more blessed.

I, of course, have my hands full right now. Trying to adjust to being a sahm to three. Trying to figure out a routine. Trying to make it day by day. :) I'll figure it out soon. But for now I'll be scarce around here, as per usual. ;)

Almost That Time...

Here I am with 15 days left and an OB app tomorrow. So excited to see if I'm progressing any at all. :) I cannot wait to meet my little girl. I hope to update the blog a few more times before I have her. I know I've been so bad at blogging durning this whole pregnancy, but I sure hope I still have a few readers. ;)

Not much scrapbooking going on over here. I have done tons of crafts though. I created a ton of decor for my baby shower that we had in April. I plan to share some pictures of it on here next. :) I also made a quilt for my little chickadee. And the bumper for her cradle. I LOVED the sewing and I plan to make a whole set for her crib too. It's so nice to be able to pick exactly what you want. Ill have to get pictures of the cradle soon and share them. I didn't go by a template or anything so you can definitely tell its my first quilt. HaHa But I love it with it's uniqueness and flaws. ;)

Anywho just wanted to get on here for a bit to say hello to the blogosphere and let you know we're so anxious to see our new little bundle of joy when she arrives.

Over the Moon and Beside Myself

I just cannot stop pinching myself. Is it true.... Were the Doctor's words really, "It's A Girl"?! I am completely over the moon and totally beside myself. I just cannot believe this dream is coming true. I was so afraid that I would only have one child, not that he wouldn't be enough, but I wanted him to have siblings. I wanted the big happy family. And here I am on my third child and It's A Girl!!! I am smitten. I am blessed beyond measure. My creator is allowing me a dream come true. I will share a relationship with my own daughter like the relationship I have with my mother. My heart is filled with joy and my womb filled with glorious tiny little girl kicks and twitches.

After my ultrasound I went straight to the baby store and purchased clothes in pinks and purples. All of my dreams are overflowing with soft pinks and precious baby things. I swoon with delight at the very thought of bathing her in all the beautiful things one can buy.

Its true that I can't stop looking at all the lovely handmade things on Etsy. It is also true that I would love to buy all of these things. HeeHeeHee But then I'd need to get a job. So for now I will continue to window shop. *wink*

I'M PREGNANT!!! Little Baby Baca #3 is on his/her way. We could not be more thrilled. We feel so blessed that God has given us another miracle of our own and so soon. I thank Him daily. :)

This pregnancy is really trying my patience though. HeeHee I have been so sick since the 3rd week began and I am now at 14 weeks. Some days it has been unbearable and I think I'm dying. Other days I actually feel alive with a very upset tummy. I've been on bedrest, I've been dehydrated from all the vomiting, I've lost 16 pounds and I can't stand food in any form. I'm a hound dog and can smell everything, peoples deodorants or lack thereof, what they've recently eaten is always on their breath, I can smell everything from miles away. It's insane. I'm ready for all the sickness to be gone so I can fully enjoy my pregnancy and my two ever so patient little boys here at home helping Mommy. :) I miss life. Period. But can't thank God enough for his blessing, whatever it takes.

Inspo Monday with Mission 24

Hello Monday!

Wow this last week went by faster then I could blog. I wasn't feeling well at all last week. Thank goodness I am back and ready to play. It's allergy season here in the valley and they sure snuck up on me. Blech. I hate allergies. Sneezing and runny noses, itchy eyes and basically feeling like you got hit by a train is no fun. Happy to be on my feet again. :)

About a month ago I received an email from Nicole asking me if I'd Guest on their blog. So I went and had a look and really liked what this group of ladies were doing to challenge our creative minds. They have new challenges bi-weekly with fabulous guest designers and terrific monthly prizes. They have a great layout crew and even an amazing card team! They really are a fantastic group that's definitely worth checking out. Their challenge blog is called Mission To Create. And they are definitely on a mission. HaHa They've only been up and running since October of 09 and I believe they are doing a great job so I'm here to recruit some of you. Head on over there and bookmark them, start playing along, and have fun, cause that's what this hobby is all about right? Having fun and meeting new wonderful people through blogs and playing with paper. :)

Also just wanted to say how much fun I had completing this Mission. This is my first banner. I know they're super popular right now and now I know why. Oh my gosh! I am in love with banners on layouts now. HaHa See what happens when you are challenged, you find things you love that you never knew you would. **Smile

And remember when I told you about the Ormolu tags I had purchased a month or so back? I told you I would share once I received them... Well, I never did. Shipping was super fast too! I got them like 2 days after ordering. That was awesome. But you know what was more awesome than that?These tags are INCREDIBLE! Seriously thee most beautiful tags I've ever ever purchased ever. Did I say ever? I mean they are so superb. The quality is second to none. They are the epitome of professional quality. You know the fancy tags you get on some clothing? Well these are like that. They're sturdy and smooth and beautiful. I actually want all of her tags now. HaHaHa I'm swooning can you tell? HeeHee Ok Ok I'm done. But you really need to buy some to see what I'm talking about. ;) I used two tags on my Mission. The "Soft Petal"packaging tag and the "today" tag.

Alright moving on...

Here's another layout I just created as well. It's about Ayden and his love for money (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters). Seriously this kid is obsessed with holding change. **Laugh And even though I know how many germs are covering money I can't help but let him hold some once in a great awhile.

Had fun on this one too. I've actually had lots of fun getting back into the groove of scrapping. Especially with all the mouth watering product thats been coming out. I still seem to be buying more that what I can use. HaHaHa It's a disease. ;)

So on this page I used of scourse another Ormolu tag and lots of American craft goodies stickers, thickers, a few buttons, chipboard, and brads. I love their new dimensional stickers they're so fun and bring a nice touch to a page. I love my textures though so these were a no-brainer. Well I'm off to pick up the big brother from school. He started 5th grade a few weeks ago and when we went school shopping it was all about getting the "brands" and "styles" this time around. Gosh, I can't believe kids worry about this stuff so young.

He's definitely lookin fly in his new duds. Momma can't deny it. HeeHee

Hello Monday! :)

We started out our Monday with swimming and fresh picked grapes. We LOVE grapes. ur summer vacation is coming to a quick end. Boooo. HeeHeeHee No more sleeping in and no more late nights trying to pass the castle level on Mario Bros WII. Laugh** We sure had fun though. And winter break will be anxiously awaited after the first month of school. Ha.

Today I have a little bit of stuff I've worked on lately. Stuff that's now for sale in my Sweet Things Etsy. Just some small projects I found a little bit of time to work on. A good reason to dig into my stash and use some of it up. This little book was actually really fun to make. I used a lot of little bits of goodies. Minis are definitely the best way to use up some scraps and make you feel productive when your done... I finished this in the same amount of time it would take me to complete a layout.

And I'd like to ask why no one has told me how much fun glitter mists are? Laugh** I just purchased a few from the local scrapbook store and also from two peas. Pretty sure I'm in heaven and want to spray everything I touch. They give such a gorgeous glimmer and sparkle. I adore sparkle! If you have any suggestions which sprays to buy please let me know. Suddenly I feel the need to have an overabundance of them. :)

Here's a Party Hat I made a few days ago using Crate Papers Pink Plum collection which I absolutely love. It's my go to lately. And I was in a party hat making mood.

I busted out three of these bad boys in one night. So much fun. I am smitten by these hats. They're so much fun to make and really keep my creative juices flowing, plus I always LOVE the way they turn out. And here's a little secret.... When they're completed I always try them on and go have a peek in the mirror. I know, I'm silly. But hey, I like my hats. HaHaHa

So I wanted to share a blog that inspires me usually on the daily. This blog is very dear to my heart. It's a pick me up every read and she's a wonderful soul. I really wish I could know her personally. She's such an uplifting and inspiring spirit. She is seriously magical. I love her stuff and you will too.

Have you guys been to the Twig and Thistle Blog? It's so full of utter inspiration of all sorts. They recently featured these announcements and they are killing me! Aren't they gorgeous?

I was also just the other day inspired by Celine Navarro's Inspirational Tuesday where she does tutorials on her blog The Green Frog Studio. Her Butterfly Shadow Box Tutorial is just the inspiration I needed for my guestroom makeover. Thanks Celine. :)

And one more person of interest is Eva owner of Evalicious. I know most of you have probably already heard of her, but I recently refound her. HaHa She had a baby and is on mat.-leave, but she has some pretty promising stuff coming in September which I for one am definitely excited about! :) Can't wait. Her buttons and color combos definitely inspire me.

Last, but not least a layout of mine. This one is an old picture and even used old goodies, which makes me wonder.... How many of you out there try using your older product? It's so hard to say no to new product, but for the sake of waste not want not I always try to incorporate something I've had stashed for a while. :) I'll be back here soon with some of my Cha faves and flickr faves too! :)

How's everyone enjoying the summer? We're trying our very best to stay cool but I'm telling you the humidity is killing me. Took the boys to see Despicable Me today and just going from indoor to outdoor within seconds is enough to give you a headache. Pretty sure it was 110 today. Other than the heat we try to stay out of Despicable Me was pretty cute. My 2 year old had spurts of interest. PS I cannot believe I had to pay $10.75 for a two year old to watch a cartoon! Sheesh. What happened to the free for three and under rule. LOL

What a wonderful way to start off the week. This morning at 8 o'clock I got a call from my brother telling me I had a new nephew waiting to meet me. Babies are so precious. He was a sweet little bundle of love. He was wide awake and I was there about 4 hours and he never cried a tear. Not so much as a peep. :) He stole my heart instantly. Sigh* I love him.

So this is why my Monday Inspirational post is late today. Won't you forgive me. :)

Yes. It's true I have been finding a ton of inspiration from international scrappers lately. They are so full of wonderful ideas and I am loving it. :)

Today I ordered some of these tags by Ormolu.

Inspirational Monday

Hey all! :) Hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend. We had fun. Lots of delicious foodie to be had! Aydie Pie was afraid of the loud illegal firecrackers some of the neighbors were lighting off, but he was a trooper and just sat in daddy's lap and watched. Timmy, of course wanted to light all the firecrackers himself, but was okay with just lighting off some smoke bombs. HeeHee It was a good fun time for all of us and the watermelon was so sweet. YUM. Plus we had tons of fun with sparklers. My first time with this technique. So cool.

This is Aric. He was total game for taking pictures. Ha. He had a steady hand. Can't wait to do more. I'm not sure I'll be ble to hold of till next year. Anyone got any leftover sparklers? HaHa

Today is my first "Monday Inspirational Post". Let's hope this goes well and you definitely get inspired.

How can it be two months since my last post?

Seriously.

Man I'm bad. I don't get how time just slips away. I also don't get how people can keep up with blogging so well. I envy them. :(

I want to be a good blogger I do. Really I do. I will try.

What has happened since I've been away??? Well we celebrated Ayden's 2nd birthday. Yes, my baby is two years young now. Don't ask me how it happened. He is such a big boy, people always think he's three. He's tough and loves icecream. :) That make mama happy. My all time favorite "food" is icecream. The cutest thing is he calls it cake. And anytime he hears the word birthday he starts clapping his hands and says cake with the biggest grin. HaHa It's priceless. And I am loving it.

We also celebrated about 8 other birthdays a family reunion a graduation and welcomed a new sweet little niece to the family. Now we have Fourth of July coming up and Timmy will be ten at the end of the month. Gosh. My little dude will be a teenager before I know it. :( The other day he decided to let me in on a little FYI, it went a little something like this...

timmy: So Mom?

me: Yeah?

timmy: Ayden's taking over my old nickname "buddy" and you can just call me dude, ok?

me: Um... Ok, dude. **snicker**

timmy: laughs

HaHaHa I thought it was funny and so Californian of him. HeeHee Love that kid. :)

Ok so now what am I going to do with this blog??? I need a way to keep my readers interested and not feel like I'm too boring to blog, cause I totally am a boring writer. HaHa Just not really my forte. So I'm thinking how bout a theme for a few days out of the week? Something like...

Layouts and Things I Want

It's Tuesday and a beautiful one at that. Today is overcast and a bit windy. Its 73 degrees out and absolutely perfect! Timmy came home from school and went out to fly his kite. Don't you agree "kite flying weather" is thee best? *Smile*

Today I am sharing a few more pages I've done for the Wedding Album I was asked to create. I really do love this album a lot. I sure miss it. I would look through everyday and usually more than once. If you haven't noticed I included manilla tags throughout every page of this album. It was a fun way for me to tie it all in together along with butterflies and little puffy heart stickers. :) Tags are my latest obsession since getting back into scrapping. I purchased them here at this little shop called Mattiecakes on Etsy so I wouldn't have to buy a whole slew of them at an office supply store. Another reason why I heart Etsy.

And here are three more pages with close ups. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

Incase you didn't know I celebrated my birthday last month. I got a huge surprise. First you should know that over the years I've been using a Nikon D50. A simple camera for a simple girl. Right before this year started the lens that came with my camera basically died. It stopped focusing. So that wasn't such a big deal... I had three other lenses. :) But then... My camera started doing weird things. This was a big deal. I took it in and the guy said he couldn't find anything wrong with it. My picture taking had come to a halt. Sad. I'd been eyeing a camera for a while the D300s. I'm a Nikon girl. *Smile* So guess what hubby told me I could finally get... You know, since it was my birthday and all. HeeHee Yup The Nikon D300s! This camera is crazy cool! There are so many things I need to learn about it and it seems like every time I open the manual I find out something new I didn't think could be done. It's a dream. So this is where the title of my post comes in... Things I want. Although it should say things I want and think I need. *Laugh* Have you seen the Epiphanie Bags? Well if you haven't then get over to the site and check them out! I want Belle badly! She's been calling my name since I got my camera. HaHa Figures, a girl is never content. But seriously that's not the case. The point is I want something to take care of my little (or not so little) D300s. She needs a nice cozy home and this is definitely the one for her. Its gorgeous... *Swoon* So guess what's on my Mother's Day list?

Well I'm off to make dinner. Chocolate cake too. Yum. Parents are heading this way, I better skeedattle.

Sweet Project & Sweet Things

Happy Wednesday.

Hopefully you had a wonderful day today. I on the other hand am glad today is almost over. It was a rough day for me. So glad tomorrow is almost here. Smile.

I thought to myself what better way to end a rotten day than to share some inspiration and hopefully make someone else happy through scrapbooking. I hope these pages, as you look at them, bring a little inspiration to your world. These layouts are from an Etsy custom order request I received back in March. The gal asked me to create a wedding album for her special friend who was soon to be married. I of course was delighted and said of course with a big smile. I spent a lot of time on each of these pages and really had a great time making them. It was very hard to let go of the album when it was time to ship it a few days ago. I spent a great many nights creating it and really putting a lot of effort into it. I adored it when it was finally complete. There were a total of 14 pages, plus I decorated the front of the cloth album. It in my opinion was a master piece. I hope the couple will cherish it as much as I would have loved to. *Sigh*

So without further adieu here are a few pages and close ups. Enjoy.

Happy Sunday!!! Hope everyones is having a great relaxing Sunday. The weather here is BEAUTIFUL! I went out and picked some flowers today. I have 6 rose bushes and a tons of ranunculus growing. Love.

So looks like my blog is coming along. :) There are a few more things I'd like to do, just minor details, but for the most part it's complete. I like it. I used a House of 3 Blog Background. They're so cheap and cute how could I resist. Laugh. Let me know what you think. I realize I'm not a pro, but it was a fun challenge. Ha.Moving on...

I finished up some layout using the All My Memories April Kit. It was nice working on 12x12 layouts again. Can't wait to do more. Infact I kinda went on a shopping spree and bought

scrapbooking goodies. Mmmm It was a lot of fun too. It was so hard though narrowing down the list to fit my budget. Then of course I went over. HaHaHa It'll be a while before I can splurge like that agian. I sure miss the days when Scrapbook goodies would arrive at my door weekly from manufactures in trade for my work. I have to admit... It's nice to not be on a schedule for scrapbooking. I just go at my own pace. The guest designing was good for me... Kit clubs are such a great idea. Its a wonderful way to save time because the kits are already pre-coordinated. Plus you get a little bit of all the new stuff thats been coming out. So I'm considering subscribing to a club... There are so many out there that look fabulous, so I thought I'd ask for some advice here... Which kit club do you highly recommend? I'd love to know any experiences any of you have had. Please share in a comment here. I truly appreciate it. :)

Echo... Echo... Echo...

Oh my gosh it's quite around here. So sad. This blog makes me frown . :( But guess what? I have plans to turn that frown upside down! :) Yep!!! Pretty corny huh? LOL I had planned to abandon my little blog... Let me give you the scoop.

I had decided to quit

scrapbooking altogether after the birth Ayden. I just knew that having a new baby would take up all of my attention and I would not be able to focus on design teams blogging or any crafting whatsoever so as traumatic as it would be for me to quit I had made up my mind. So slowly but surely I resigned from companies and contracts come to and end my crafting had finally came to an end. A very sad one too. I missed crafting very very much. And believe me although my internet time had been cut as well any chance I had for myself was spent searching the web and catching up on other favorite blogs. I was up to date on all the newest CHA goodies and boy was I hurting. To think I wouldn't be able to get any of those goodies and play with them like all the other kids. :( I was feeling very left out. During this time we moved twice and now I'm home where I belong and it feels good.

Now that things are settling down for us (Ayden is turning two in May) and I'm learning how to use my time to my benefit I feel very confident that I can start blogging and crafting again. It feels great even just being able to type that. Ha. It's strange how something that sometimes seems so silly and to other people seems like a waste of time can be such a big part of life. It is to me.... For now it's who I am and it really does make me happy. So... I'm back! And I plan to revamp this blog soon. Total facelift coming for my little blogger account. :) I can't wait and I hope you will stick around! Please if you still keep up with my blog become a follower (over to the right at the bottom) so you can keep track of me. Laugh.

I can't believe Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

Life is definitely keeping me busy.

Wanted to post that all of the kits in my Sweet Things Etsy Shop have been reduced by $5.00. These are my final kits. Sadly I will not be making any more kits for my Etsy. It was fun while it lasted, but instead I will be making banners, garlands, custom birthday hats and possibly more mini albums, also a few more Trims and Things. :) I love etsy.

Anywho while I'm here I'll share the last project I created. It's a Valentine mini album I created and sold on my etsy. I had a lot of fun creating it...

And a delish Valentine Garland still available for purchase HERE, was $15 now only $10! <3

I have one more I'm currently working on, but not sure if it'll ever be finished in time for V Day. LOL

Label Tulip + Sneaks

Hey peeps! Wuddidododoodelydoo? HeeHeeHee You like that huh? Anyways guess where I've been all this time?Well my baby turned 1!!! Yes one!

I can't believe it either. He's big day was on the 28th and we had his birthday party on the 30th. The day after he breaks out with chicken pox! Can you believe that? They're almost gone just a few scabs still waiting to fall off. My poor little guy. He was such a trooper though. He had them pretty bad too. I mean I wanted to cry he had SO many on his little head and face. I'm so happy he's almost back to the norm. :)

So yeah, I got to guest design for Label Tulip this month! So cool and so fun. Check it all out HERE. I got to play with two kits, The main kit Sugar Shoppe and the kit with all the Sassafras "Rock Candy"! YUM and YAY! It was super delicious and definitely gave me a sugar high. :) Here's some of the work I did...

The other place I was honored to guest design for is Shabby Chic Crafts! Love those tags and Veronica is seriously so generous and uber cool. Love that chica! You hear me Veronica? I loaf chew! :)

Just wanted to write a short post today to share my excitement... My little man has started walking! He's so precious. He's a tip toe walker. HeeHeeHee I'm gonna have to go buy him some walking shoes today. He gets so excited, he wants to take of running. HaHaHa Loving it.

Here's a recent layout I did of him. I adore this page. When I started making it I didn't like it... I almost gave up on it, but then it grew on me... I love it now. :) Hope you like it too.

Been A While...

Why do my titles always sound so pathetic? Oh that's right... My blogging skills ARE pathetic. Gosh. I would like to take this time to apologize to my faithful readers. I am sorry I am not a better blogger. :( Please forgive me.

Okay now onto the funner stuff...

REFLECTIONS WAS AMAZING!!! I know it's been two weeks already but I have to talk about it. It was such a wonderful feeling being able to hang out with ladies ALL day long for three straight days. So. Much. Fun. I met so many wonderful women. Women who were full of compliments... Women who were full of laughter... Woman full of creativity. Woman so full of fun... Woman full of love and joy... It was definitely a memorable event. I had such a fabulous time. So many caring ladies... So many fans... Sucha flattery. Ugh I savored every minute of you gals. There are many woman that stand out in my mind and I have seen you in my memories over these last two weeks, women that took a little piece of my heart after spending a short time with them. I regret so much not taking names or emails. I didn't take any pictures at all. I know, I keep kicking myself for this. :( If you have any pic.s you wouldn't mind sharing from the event please please email them to me. I would love to scrap a page about this wonderful event. It was so much just what I needed! I hope that I wasn't too much of a chum as a teacher. I really liked mingling with the students. They were so cool all of them! I kid you not, ALL of them! It was a pleasure meeting Melissa and Christine. Love them both! They are wonderful gals!

I taught 2 layouts and a party hat. Well we didn't get through all the projects. LOL Most classes finished the hat and a layout. Here are the projects...

Hooray right? Not so much. I really don't have much to share, but I just wanted to hop on here and let the world know that I'm alive and well. Should you also want to know, I'm very healthy in the creative area as well. *grin*

I'm getting all kinds of new goods to play with for my class at Reflections and it's making me so so happy. I could just lock myself away in this happy scrappy place for days. Ahhhh. The things that bring me joy. Heh.

I'm here I'm here...

I'm so sorry it's taken me so long. I forgot that I was headed out of town today. LOL We left after hubby got out of work and it's a 4 hour drive so we got here about 2 hours ago. Now that I'm settled I'm exhausted, but didn't want my readers to wait any longer. :)

So who won? Well that's the thing... I couldn't choose. Last night as the comments were rolling in I told my husband there were so many stories that I wasn't gonna be able to choose. :( So he came up with this bright idea... He said,"Well Mara, why don't you do two giveaways? I mean it's not like you don't have enough stuff." So then I got to thinking... God has honestly richly blessed me in this industry, and yeah I have shared and done giveaways. If you know me you know I love to give things away. I'm not a greedy person at all. Sure there are somethings that I like to splurge on, but I don't exactly hoard things.... Never have been one to. Thus my etsy. LOL So my husband was right, I'm gonna do not one giveaway, not two giveaways, but THREE!!!! That's right today there are three winners.

Everyone had such good comments I had to pick three! First off I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories with me. I'm sorry I can't send everyone something, I wish I could.

Here is one of the other kits I put together, sort of a vintage feel to it, with plenty of things to alter.

The other kit I meant to take pictures of, but that's a longer story and this has already turned out to be long enough so I'll just tell you that it's as equally big and just think pink and black with glitter thickers. :)

And since honestly honestly I could not pick, not fo the life of me... My hubby just sat here for over an hour on another computer going through all of the comments and picked who he thought should win the kits...

Suzanne... The hubs really loved the fact that you can share this hobby with your daughters. A lot of people don't realize how important family is and just spending simple time together will build their character and for that the main kit is yours! We love family! :)

I must say I did put together quite the kit this time. I spent lots of time adding to the pile. With all that goodness it didn't fit on my desk for the picture I had to put it on the floor. Here's a sweet treat... Bought these lovely heart shaped suckers at the Walmart 2 for $1. Some ribbon and another tag from Elle's Studio and now I have something to hand out to friends on Valentine's Day. They're gonna love me. :)

I hope you've had a very inspired last 10 days. I also hope to do something like this again. It was fun. Thanks so much to everyone who has followed along and left sweet comments. I always love to see what my readers have to say! :)

Day #9 - Not Just for Valentine's...

So can you believe the 10 Days of Love are almost over? :( So sad. I wish I could keep up the daily blogging, but honestly it really doesn't fit in my schedule. It takes quite a commitment to daily blog. I commend those who are willing to make the effort to inspire on a daily basis. It's awesome of you! :) As for me... I will try to blog at least once a week and hopefully more, I would love to blog 2-3 times per week, but we'll see how it goes. HeeHeeHee Okay then, for today's Valentine project I wanted to create bows for my gifts, but I wanted them to be something they wouldn't just toss, but use over and over again. So I made these rosettes out of fabric I've had for a really long time. I didn't get a picture of the back but they have pin on the backs of them, this way not only do they look fabulous on top of your gifts, but they can later use them to pin to bags, backpacks, purses, beanies, scarfs, sweaters, headbands, even your blouse, anything you can stick a pin through! Here's a picture of what you'll need, (minus the pins, blah)... And here are the ones I created...

Fun Fun Fun and they're so super simple to make. I didn't take step by step pictures of how to make them... So Candice Carpenter has this crepe paper rosettes tutorial over on her blog and it's the same thing just use material instead. :)

Day #8 - Cards

How's everyone enjoying their weekend? We had a great laid-back weekend. Just home with the family. Love it.

So today I have some card love to share. I absolutely love making cards. I'm not very good at it, but really enjoy it. Maybe if I keep doing it I'll get better. :) Just like scrapbooking.

This first one I made using this weeks CPS' Sketch...

On this one I adore that vintage card!

And the rain didn't let me get a very good picture here, so trust me when I say this card is really much prettier than it looks. And I used last week's sketch from CPS. And I totally copied Melissa Phillips with the flower in the middle. HeeHee Thanks Melis for the inspo. :) The cards I've posted today use free downloads from Tammy Tutterows website. You can find them all, plus lots and lots of other fun vintage downloads at Fairy Davis Paper Goods. I also found these really cute Valentine downloads at OllieBollen, so check em out, you might be a downloading fool like I was the other day. LOL

10 Days of Love - Day# 7

What better gift to give than chocolates? Chocolates in a gorgeous box. I always buy my Mom See's Candies for Valentine's Day, but this year instead of giving to hear in the ordinary so-called "gift wrapped" I decided to decorate my own box. Aomething that she'll be able to have and put trinkets in for a really long time. Plus, it was really easy and of course lots of fun to alter.

These Prima flowers from Michaels were the perfect touch all I did was add some gorgeous Rhinestone Brads I purchased long time ago from Joanns to their centers. Love Love the look. Now I wish I had more. I will definitely be going back and buying more off these gorgeous flowers from Michaels though. :) I also got that stamp from the $ bin in Michaels. Pretty good deal. :) American Craft Ribbon and Cardstock, the tag is from an Etsy shop that's no longer opened called Paperologie (I miss that little spot), and of course Prima's Say It In Crystals Swirls, Yum. Well guys thanks for be sure to check in every day and of course come back tomorrow for another Valentine project!

Still kinda glum and rainy here so gonna go cuddle up with my boys and watch a movie.

Day#6 - FRIDAY!!!

Oh boy, I'm so glad it's the weekend! :) And to make things even better Monday is a holiday. Weeeeeee LOL

Alright lets get right into it now...

Today's project is a go green project! It's a Candy Valentine. I'm sure these have been made before, but I don't know of anyone specifically. Here's a pic of what you'll need...

So here it is using my American Craft Brad packaging. So fun! It's totally simple to all you need is the packaging and the little card that comes in it, some scraps (great way to use those scraps), a hole punch, some ribbon, candy, a few flowers and a couple of stickers or whatever embellishments you want to use! :)

Take the card that card that comes in the packaging and just trace it and cut it out. Put your candies in the packaging, I used Peanut M&Ms, then punch two holes in the top side by side, thread your ribbon through the holes, tie a bow add the flowers or whatever embellishments you preffer. I also added a few stickers to the front of mine. Now you have an adorable Valentine. If you had enough of these... Which I totally do... You and your kids could make these for their classroom. That would be cool. My son says their too girlie... He's crazy he'd rather have dinosaur Valentine's. Hmph... Boys... ;)

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. It's rainy here so we're staying indoors, pizza and a movie. :)

Day #5 - I "Heart" You

Yup we are already half way through the 10 Days of Love. I hope everyone is enjoying the daily posts. HaHaHa I know that all of this stuff is really simple and could have been posted in one big fat Valentine post, but I wanted to switch things up a little here on my deprived blog. HeeHeeHee So yeah I just hope that some of you are getting some kind of inspo from my lame little daily posts. :oP

Today I have another small gift box. This one is unique though, I didn't make duplicates. I used Pink Paislee's new line called Enchanting. It was perfect for this little box. I love this line, it's so soft and girly.

Day #4 You've Got Mail...

I can't believe Valentine's Day is almost here. Let the count down begin. HaHaHa I love Valentines Day and this year I'm asking Cupid for some Ed Hardy perfume. Have you smelled this stuff? Holy YUM it smells SO good. I am dying to get it. LOL

Also asking Mr. Cupid for the new Hello Kitty MAC stuff. HOLY CUTE. You have to see this stuff... So adorable! Should be available by the 12th. YAY!

Now then for Day #4...

It's mail day... HeeHeeHee I found these adorable little metal MailBox tins in the $1 spot at Target a few months back. These are so easy to alter. I kept it simple and use American Crafts latest Valentine papers. I LOVE this line, it's so fun and the embellishments are so much fun.

Well looks like it's that time again...

Time to get gone... Maybe you can drop something sweet in the mail for a special someone tomorrow. :)

Today's inspo is another simple Valentine. I made these sweet little boxes to give out candy coins in. :) Very simple... Very Sweet...

Gotta keep things simple now with the little one wanting to crawl and all. :)

Today's project is a clear mini album full of all kinds of colors, pockets,tags, and just pure yummines. Feast your eyes...

This little book is going to make somebody very happy on Valentine's Day. It'll be up for sell in my Sweet Things Etsy Shop. There's lots more to see, but I guess you'll have to buy it to enjoy it. :)

Hi all! Back from CHA and it was a blast! I worked at the Pink Pailsee Booth for the morning of the first two days. It was so delish! Rebecca does sucha great job setting things up... And of course Barry too. He's cool. HaHa. It was so much fun meeting some of my favorite designers IRL. I got to meet Adrienne and Celine! Omgosh they are so gorgeous! Seriously they are stinkin' beautiful, I love them!!! I also had a chance to meet Vicki Boutin... She is priceless! Seriously she's so much fun. I adore her! :) I also got to meet Allison at the Hambly booth. She's so cute and super sweet. Oh I got to meet Vivianea. She is so pretty and tall and should totally be a model! :) She's great. I also saw Melissa Frances at her booth and Heidi Swapp at her booth as well. I have to admit I was a bit shy to walk up to people and just assume they'd know who I am. HaHaHa I also met some other wonderful ladies from two peas. Oh and ran into an October Afternoon gal, Stacey Kingman, on the trolly to Disneyland. HaHa That was funny. And of course I hung out at the Sassafras booth which was so adorable! Holy cow! And the chics at the booth are THEE funnest! I loved them all! I could of just sat at that booth the whole time, but I really didn't wanna be in the way. LOL It was great to be at the show. So much new stuff coming out it's so hard to choose faves. So many companies and so much stuff that's not scrapbooking that could totally be incorporated. Ugh I'm so glad I don't have a store there's no way I would be able to pick and choose. It's crazy. I did take fotos, but those will have to wait because I forgot my camera in my friends car. Blah. So who's excited about the month of love?! I "heart" February and Valentine's day. So fun and what a wonderful thing to celebrate... LOVE. I've decided to do something fun here on my blog (lets see if I can keep it up). HeeHee I want to do 10 days of Love. I will post a love themed project every day for the next 10 days starting today and on the 10th day I'll have a love themed kit to give away. Today's LOVE Project comes straight from the oven! And of course it's cupcakes! :) Everybody loves cupcakes! Today's project is quite simple. All you'll need are some craft sticks, some Love Bird Tags from Shabby Chic Crafts, some ribbon, and heart stickers, but I figure rhinestones would work just as well. Just make your bows small enough put a glue dot on the back then stick it onto you tag add your sticker or rhinestone then glue it to the craft stick and insert them into your cakes. Now you have adorable festive cupcakes to give out. Everyone will love you for it. And come on they're look much better than just plain ol' cuppycakes. CHA is just around the corner! :) Aren't you excited? I've been so busy creating for this special event I didn't even realize how long it been since I've had and actual blog post. Shame on me. Best News of the Year....

Hi all!!! Hope everyone had a most fabulous holiday! We had a wonderful time with friends and family. Lots of hugs and laughs. :) Sad that it's over, but ready to move on to the next holiday. HaHa. Love is definitely in the air! So I have some really big news that I am super excited about. Infact I don't think I've ever been this excited about scrapbooking before.

Coming in May this year I will be teaching a class at Reflections. Reflections will be a 3 day retreat in gorgeous Newport Beach. California. The teachers are among the finest! Which include a few of my favorite artist. :) Trust me when I say Karen and Susan do not disappoint! This will be thee most wonderful NSD yet!!! Don't miss out! Registration is already opened and they even have a payment plan! It really doesn't get much better! I can't wait to meet everyone and share a piece of me in person. For instance I made these Christmas Trees because Danielle Thompson's were amazing. Mine are nowhere near as fabulous as hers, but I try. :) You must check it out on her blog HERE and make one, they are so easy and completely satisfying!

Another quick Christmas craft is paper stockings. Using the fabulous Sassafras Life At the Pole again I created this little cutie. So much fun and so little time. I just drew a stocking shape freehand and layered two pieces of patterned paper (for front and back) and then cut it out and sewed it. For all the details I just used a few punches and some rhinestones, added some ribbon, put some marabou for foo-foo, and ta-da... A sweet stocking to stuff for someone special!

So many things I want to create and Christmas is just around the corner. Yikes!!! Well I have a swell creation for the Pink Paislee blog that I just adore and it will be posted over there soon. Oh and if you haven't submitted your app for the PP team you better get to it, today's the last day!

Sassy Tussie- Matchbox- 10 Days

Ok I cannot believe it has been 2 weeks since I said I'd be back here soon with a giveaway! Man time really does fly by when you're having fun. HaHa Well with Christmas being "10 days" away I have been busy busy busy... We just got home from visiting family up North and my goodness it is getting cold over there! I don't miss that, that's fer sure! :)

So here is a cute little Tussie Mussie I created a about two weeks ago. Barely posting it now, I know. Did this cutie up with Sassafraslass newest Holiday collection Life At the Pole. I adore the greens in this line! They are so bold and delicious! I can't get enough of that green color!

And not too many days later I whipped up this sweet matchbox. The perfect size to slip in a gift card... Or two... You can see in the pictures that I had the same idea going with the layered flowers. I LOVE doing this. And it's so easy when you have things like Sassafras' blossoms and cardstock stickers and buttons! They were meant for layering I just know it! HaHaHa I also used a Sassafras label stamp. I "heart" Sass stamps!

Here are a few Christmas ornaments I created for the Pink Paislee Blog. We did the 12 Days of Christmas with ornaments. Check it out to see details and a ton of ornaments the other girls created! So fun!

I totally did not mean to take this long. But so goes my story right? Ha! Well anyways to keep it simple... Here's how my morning started... Good ol' cuppuh joe... What a drag to wake up to fog and having to lug the baby out into the cold to get Timmy to school so stinkin' early. Ugh. On the plus side it's such nice cool refreshing weather and totally has me in the mood to create! My mind is flooded with ideas, infact I'm sure I've already forgotten half of the stuff I've been thinking up over the last week. You know what that means... Better get my butt in gear. LOL No but seriously I want to start blogging more often. I always do these really loooong posts with tons of pictures and it always takes forever... So I wanna try and do lots of short posts. That way my blog can be fun or whatever. HaHa Anyways I have a ton of things to share, but too lazy tuh pos it all.

And hello Pink Paislee just rocks! I cannot wait to see what they are whipping up for this next year! All I know is how can it get any better right?! Gosh. So here is all the info...

And how bout a picture of my baby boy! He is seriously getting insanely HUGE! He's only 5 month and I swear he looks 9! LOL Timmy was a small baby infact he's still a small boy, but Ayden seems to be growing much much faster than I can imagine. He's solid! HaHa He's practically triple what he was when he was born. He is so adorable none the less. :) He just got in his two bottom teeth. He's starting to sit up and laughs at everything. I just love him!

Well I'm off to eat lunch! I swear I'll be back soon with a short post. :)

Okay now here's a layout I completed over the weekend and I am so happy with the way it turned out. This is only the 3rd page ever I've done of Ayden so naturally it had to be special.
Used lots of Sass yumminess!
Did a lot of distressing with my Heidi Swapp Edge Distresser. Love that thing. And of course SEWING! Sewing is one of my favorite techniques in scrapping. I'm always drawn to it. <3 Here you can see the best alphas Sass has come out with! The woodgrain here totally captures my heart! Heh. I adore these alphas! And the chip pals. *Swoon* Aren't they the best?! And I can't get enough of big fat ribbon, pretty little pins, and millinery flowers. Ooooooo and lace! I love vintage lace soooo much! Love the yellow a whole bunch lately too! And he's just too cute. 4 months already! I know, I can't believe it either. HeeHee It's so funny because people are always stopping me to tell me he looks like a doll. Seriously, I cannot believe how many times I've been told that. It's so cute! And he's sucha good baby! Yup Yup Today's the day to make 100 cards! LOL I wish! I'd be set for life. HaHaHa Alright so, hopefully if you're a cardmaker you get to sit at your desk today and make a few cards and if your not a cardmaker well hopefully you get some inspo today to make a few! :) Let's start first with the Pink Paislee Blog Hop!!! That's right some of us gals over at Pink Paislee have been hard at work creating cards specifically for today to share with you with instructions and all! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Aren't you excited. HeeHeeHee Now, let's see how good I am with instructions... Not very, I presume... But hopefully you'll get something outta this. Here we go... List of what you'll need: 1 4"x6" card 1 3.5"x5.5" piece of Purple Cardstock/Printed Paper 1 4"x3" piece of Vintage Moon "Hollow Moon" Paper 1 4"x2.5" piece of Pop Fashion "Bell Bottoms" Paper 1 4"x2" piece of Kraft Colored Cardstock/Patterned Paper Set of Trick or Treat Clear Stamps Set of Vintage Moon Clear Stamps 1 Star from the Vintage Moon Topsider Shapes 1 Smaller Chipboard Star (optional) 1 1' Purple Ribbon 1 4" Black Ribbon (optional) 1 Sheet of Fashion Script Alphabet Stickers 1 Plastic Spider 5 Purple Rhinestones (optional) 1 Date Journaling Tag 1 Black Feather (optional) 1 Black Ink Pad Pink Glitter Black Glitter Pink Paint Black Paint First: Using the circle image with the pumpkin from the Trick or Treat clear stamp set stamp your Purple piece of Cardstock with it making sure not to overlap images. When you are finished stamping let it dry for a few seconds then glue it down to your card making sure it's centered. Next I sewed it using black thread, but this is optional, the card will look splendid even without the sewing. :) Next: Cut your Date Tag in half. Glue your black feather to the top of your Date Journaling Tag and then glue it to the top of your Hollow Moon Paper keeping it about .5" from the side. Then glue the other half to the bottom. Only letting as much peek out as you prefer. Then: Take and paste down your Hollow Moon paper (along with tag and feather) about .5 from the bottom of your card. Next you will paste down the Pop Fashion Bell Bottom piece of paper making sure it's centered between the Hollow Moon piece. After you do that. Get your piece of Kraft colored cardstock and using the swirl leafy stamp from the Vintage Moon Stamp set stamp your images as far apart as you like them and as many times as you prefer. Then paste this down on top of the Bell Bottom paper making sure it is centered. After that I sewed it along the top and bottom, but this is optional. :) Next Step: Using your ribbon adhesive paste down your black piece of ribbon about 1/4" away from the bottom of the Kraft colored paper. Then cut a 4" piece of your purple ribbon and paste it on top of the black piece making sure it is centered. With your left over ribbon tie a bow as big or as little as you'd like and paste it down over the ribbons on your card. Now you can get out those stars! First we'll start with the big star, paint it pink and before it dries pour your pink glitter all over it. For you little star, paint it black and then pour your black glitter all over it before it dries. Let them sit about 2-5 minutes then shake of the excess glitter. Using a strong adhesive paste your black star in the center of you pink star. Ta-da! You have a blingy 3D star! LOL Now go ahead and paste it to your card. I glued mine about 1" from the top of my card and let it peek off of the left side just a little. Next get out those Trick or Treat Stamps again and using the little "Spooky Bat", stamp him onto a piece of Kraft colored paper, cut him out and paste him onto your star ensemble. If you chose to use the rhinestones you can go ahead and apply these now as eyes for the bat. Finally you can add your sentiment. I chose "Boo", cause its so scary. LOL Actually, cause it fit so perfectly! And last paste your plastic spider on there anywhere you see fit (I added rhinestones to my little spidey) and wha-la... You have a super duper "Spooky Boo" Card! And here's what it should look like (maybe slightly different)... Here's another Halloween card I made using Pink Paislee's Vintage Moon Line, only this one has candy... YUMMY!. And if you didn't get a chance to see my post on the Pink Paislee Blog yesterday it was all about this card I made using a this sketch from CPS. Here are some other cards I created for today using Sassafras' newest line! I could have made a dozen cards with these papers! I didn't wanna stop. :) Now guess what?! That's right a giveaway!!!! I have put together a Card Kit just to give away! It'll have 6x6 pieces of papers, 4 cards, and plenty of ribbon and embellishments to go along with! I'll post the photo later, but believe me it rocks... So much that I don't wanna give it away now. Ha! All you have to do for a chance to win it is link me, in a comment on this post, to your favorite card ever, then I will randomly chose a winner on Monday.
